Heaven and earth fall into ruin. Spiritual energy surges out of control, demons run rampant, and the martial order collapses. Xiao Jue, a prince of the fallen Great Yin dynasty, flees for his life and unexpectedly awakens a belief interface from the Investiture of the Gods. By slaying demons, vanquishing evil, and protecting the people, he gathers incense offerings, cultivates the martial path, appoints deities, and builds a divine court. He abandons his obsession with restoring the dynasty, choosing instead to reshape the laws of heaven and earth. He recruits loyal generals, confers divine titles, and joins forces with Su Mei, the alluring and mysterious proprietress of a celestial fox rice shop, to conquer the chaotic age. Along the way, he wins over heroes and brings demons back to the right path. Just as his divine court takes shape, martial sects, wicked fiends, and a corrupted orphan of the imperial house surround him. In the end, Xiao Jue leads a host of gods into the battle to invest the gods, shatters the crumbling Heavenly Dao, establishes laws of his own, and ascends to the throne of the Supreme Heavenly Emperor!
