Awakening a System is supposed to be a golden finger? Dream on.
Lin Shuyi, a bookish high school sophomore, is forced onto the court with three minutes left in the class basketball game. In his desperation, he activates the "Slam Dunk Random Possession System."
Then he finds out the System is just a joke.
It promises to turn his fate around in three minutes, but his first draw is Coach Anzai, with maxed-out tactics and zero physical ability. He steps onto the court and begins kindly analyzing the opponents' weaknesses. His teammates want to kill him.
His second draw is Yayoi Aida, a sports reporter whose mind is full of stats. The opposing center knocks him flying with one shove, and he is still calculating the guy's weight.
His third draw is Hanamichi Sakuragi, beginner edition. He dances around under the open basket and throws the ball straight into the opposing coach's face.
Other people draw cards to turn their lives around. He draws cards and humiliates himself.
Next game, he might draw Kaede Rukawa, or a cheerleader from Kainan, or even the basketball hoop itself.
With the whole school waiting for him to make the winning shot, he's using Coach Anzai's voice to say, "Well, young people should stay calm," and then gets the ball stolen.
This isn't a cheat. It's a curse.
But the scariest thing isn't what he'll draw...
It's that someone is starting to notice he gets a little stronger every time he "goes crazy."
Campus comedy × expectation-defying System × roller-coaster comeback
You think I'm drawing cards? Actually, the System is putting me through execution over and over again.
