An old mansion that has witnessed a century of change in the city, and five strangers, each carrying their own wounds.
Architect Lu Ziqian developed agoraphobia after a serious accident and shut himself away in “Heart's Abode,” the villa his aunt left him. He maintains a fragile sense of order with a strict set of house-sharing rules. Lin Xiao, a former investigative journalist, comes to expose medical-industry scandals. The sound of her keyboard late at night becomes the first crack in the silence. Su Man, a self-serving cosmetic surgery consultant; Chen Mo, a former esports champion struggling with career uncertainty; and Uncle Wu, the old butler who has guarded the villa for half a lifetime: five people who seem to have nothing in common are forced to live together in this old house.
From conflict to understanding, from distance to standing side by side. When Lin Xiao's investigation strikes at the interests of a powerful conglomerate, and the villa faces the threat of demolition, they realize that it's not so much the people healing a place as the people in that place lighting up one another's shadowed corners.
This is a story about loneliness, trauma, and redemption. Heart's Abode is where the heart finds shelter. Wherever the lights are on, that's home.
