Journey to the West: I Beat Up the Five Finger Mountain as Tang Sanzang

He transmigrated into the body of Tang Xuanzang and awakened an unparalleled gift for comprehension, seeing the source of the Heavenly Dao at a glance.

At the foot of Five Elements Mountain, Tang Xuanzang smashed the mountain with one punch, grabbed the Great Sage Equal to Heaven by the fur, and hauled him out.

“Disciple, care to take a trip with your master?”

Sun Wukong looked at the mountain collapsing behind him and swallowed. “M-Master, with strength like yours, I’m afraid Old Sun won’t be able to protect you.”

He subdued Bajie by punching the Nine-Toothed Rake into an iron pancake at Gao Village.

He subdued Sha Seng by punching a vacuum tunnel straight through the Flowing Sand River.

Little White Dragon had it worst. All he did was breathe a puff of fire, and Tang Xuanzang scared him into kneeling and crying, “Dad!”

From then on, a peculiar crew traveled the road to the west

Four fearsome disciples called Tang Xuanzang “Brother Tang.”

Tang Xuanzang called the Daoist Zhunti “bro.”

The Journey to the West? No such thing. This was a biker gang’s road trip.

The calamity of the Journey to the West? It was all just a performance for the gods and Buddhas of the myriad realms.

Among demons, a classic line went around:

“Run! Tang Xuanzang is here!”

“The Great King and the Second King have been captured by Tang Xuanzang!”

“The Third King? He just yelled, ‘Brother Tang, spare me!’ Now he’s rubbing Tang Xuanzang’s back!”
