The grand narrative spans from 1951 to 2008, covering the legendary journey of the protagonist He Yuzhu from survival in a courtyard to commercial dominance in Hong Kong, to rejuvenating the country through science and technology.
The story begins in 1951 in Nanluoguxiang, Beijing. A modern white-collar worker travels through time and becomes the protagonist He Yuzhu (Silly Zhu) in "Love in the Courtyard". He was only 16 years old at this time, and his father He Daqing ran away with his money, leaving him and his young sister He Yuyu struggling in poverty.
He Yuzhu did not become the "honest fool" who was sucked by his neighbor as in the original work, but he awakened to the two golden fingers of "portable space" and "controlling objects with thoughts". His personality suddenly changed and he became cold, decisive and sinister. In order to survive and dignity, he first used force and supernatural powers to go to Tianjin to force his father to hand over his savings and sever ties. Later, he relied on his cooking skills that transcended the times to gain a foothold in Fengze Garden and the steel rolling mill, and accumulated a pot of gold and high-level connections (such as the big boss and Factory Director Yang).
It's upside down but it's good enough
