Fate is a mirror suspended in time and space. When you gaze only at your reflection, you miss the gaze that has always watched you from behind. When you search through the mirror for someone else’s reflection, the face before it, the one you should have recognized, grows indistinct.
And so some people spend their entire lives gazing at each other, yet never truly meet.
