The Tang Dynasty's Most Carefree Man: Starting with Refusing to Marry the Princess

[Political Intrigue] + [Lighthearted Comedy] + [Clever Characters]

Li Nuo transmigrated and landed in the Tang dynasty. His family owned a thousand acres of fertile land, and his dream was to bask in the sun, count his silver, and occasionally flirt with the pretty young lady next door.

To avoid being recruited into government service, he deliberately acted like an irredeemable, greedy, womanizing playboy in front of Li Shimin.

“Your Majesty, I really only want to take concubines. I have no interest in governing!”

“Your Majesty, I only built this cement road to make it easier to haul my goods. It’s not for moving troops!”

Yet Li Shimin wept with emotion. “My dear Li, you went so far as to ruin your own reputation to conceal your unprecedented achievements? I understand. I understand everything!”

Princess Changle: “Young Master Li, though you’re always talking about money, this ‘On the Love of the Lotus’ reveals your noble character…”

Li Nuo: I’m not! I didn’t! Don’t make things up! I really just want to lie flat. Stop reading so much into everything!
