Antique Livestream: My Vampire Husband
Synopsis:
For Li Jin, a vampire who has lived for nearly a thousand years, the biggest nuisance of modern life isn’t the sun. It’s helping his angel wife, Mu Li, livestream antique sales.
Other sellers rely on sales pitches. Their approach is to “undermine” each other. Mu Li passionately praises a “Ming dynasty jade comb” on camera, and Li Jin leans in to sniff it. “It smells like plastic. You get this wholesale in Yiwu, right?”
Other streamers have to apologize when their livestreams go wrong. Their mishaps bring in more followers. In a fit of anger, Li Jin smashes a “Qing dynasty snuff bottle,” revealing a slip of paper inside that reads “Manufactured in 2023.” The audience laughs so hard they flood the screen with rocket gifts.
They thought they could scrape by with their “honest sales of fake antiques,” but then an old acquaintance, “Ancient Realm,” shows up to challenge them: find three genuine antiques in one hour.
Li Jin cuddles and kisses Mu Li, picks her up, and wins the competition along the way. He also gains a bunch of fans shipping them: “Don’t ask. The wife is more important than antiques.”
When a thousand-year-old vampire takes on livestream selling, and a aloof antique collector falls for a sweet angel, the livestream is full of both real and fake antiques, not to mention shameless displays of affection and laugh-out-loud daily life.
“Another day of working hard to sell antiques (and show off our love)!”
