Zhu Yuntong of Great Ming, Presenting Zhu Yuanzhang with a Head

In the twenty-fifth year of Hongwu, Crown Prince Zhu Biao died.

At the funeral hall, Zhu Yunwen, the eldest grandson of the emperor, wept as if his heart were breaking. He spoke endlessly of benevolence and righteousness, winning the wholehearted support of the officials.

Meanwhile, Zhu Yuntong, who had transmigrated into this world, looked at the hypocritical civil officials filling the hall and the aged Zhu Yuanzhang, then gave a savage grin.

Whether I fight or not, I die. Since there's no way back, I'll carve out a path through blood!

The chief eunuch humiliates me? Kill him!

The civil officials embezzle? Kill them!

The feudal princes, my uncles, refuse to submit? Beat them!

In the Hall of Supreme Harmony, he held up the blood-soaked head of a corrupt official and stared straight at the Hongwu Emperor on the throne.

“Grandfather, your blade is old. It can't cut anyone down anymore!”

“Your grandson is unworthy, but I am willing to become the Ming dynasty's new blade!”

“Those you cannot bring yourself to kill, I will kill! I will bear the infamy for generations to come!”

Seeing the murderous aura surrounding his grandson, Zhu Yuanzhang went from fury to delight. “Good! Now that's my kind of boy! The throne is yours!”
