The power of magic requires the use of magic power: it can only be countered by using "crafts" or "rituals" of the same origin.
Follow the "old rules": Each ghost god follows a set of murder/fulfillment rules derived from folklore (such as "The river god must sacrifice a virgin to get married, otherwise there will be a flood").
The higher the integrity, the more the rules are ignored: a complete ghost god (such as the "Complete Dragon King") can ignore some folk restrictions and is almost "dead if touched".
