Lin Mo has a secret: he can hear the memories left on items.
Twenty-seven years old, living alone, working night shift as a warehouse manager. He lived a cautious life, never having deep friendships with others, until three o'clock in the morning, a girl knocked on his door.
Her name is Su Nian. In her hand she held an old pocket watch, with the words "If you remember me, there will be an echo" engraved on the case.
"This is my mother's," she said. "She was working on it before she got lost. Can you help me find her?"
Lin Mo took the pocket watch, and the moment he touched it, he saw a picture - sunshine, a white shirt, and a woman singing while holding a baby. The memory is hot and the person is still alive.
He started looking for her.
We dig through old things together, feed the cats together, sit on the curb together and wait for dawn. She was eating noodles in front of the wonton stall, her cheeks bulging like a hamster; she gave the orange-white cat eight names, but the cat ignored them all; she asked him: "If I leave one day, will you look for me?"
He said: "Yes. Until we find it."
He didn't know that this sentence would require all his memory to be exchanged.
He didn't know that every time he touched those memories, he was forgetting a little bit - forgetting what he ate yesterday, forgetting where he was going, forgetting what the cat called.
But the cat squatted on the wall, seeing everything and remembering everything.
But it doesn't speak.

A very literary book. The concept is relatively abstract. I don't understand very well. Micro-suspense fantasy. The male and female protagonists are very pure in love. Be. It feels like those magazine articles I read when I was a student.
