Story setting: Xinghe University, one of the country’s top comprehensive universities. The story follows a complete campus coming-of-age arc, from freshman year through graduation and the first steps into working life.

1. Female lead: Su Wanxing

Age: Enters university at 18, graduates at 22

Identity: A sweet, soft-spoken top student majoring in Chinese Language and Literature in the Chinese department

Personality: Gentle and tender, a little absent-minded, socially anxious and slow to warm up. Sensitive and thoughtful, she loves drawing and writing essays, empathizes deeply with others, and becomes very dependent on the people she trusts.

Skills: Excellent writing, hand-drawn illustrations, an exceptional memory, and hopeless cooking skills, though she’s willing to learn.

2. Male lead: Lu Zhiyan

Age: Enters university at 18, graduates at 22

Identity: A computer science prodigy, the campus heartthrob of Xinghe University, a big name in the underground esports scene, and a rich young master

Personality: Cold on the outside but warm underneath, aloof and self-restrained, but he loses his composure only around Su Wanxing. He’s fiercely protective of his wife, a stickler for details, possessive, and utterly devoted. He’s an iceberg to everyone else, but sweet and affectionate with Wanxing.

Skills: Top-tier programming, an esports champion, an all-around top student, takes care of all the housework, and spoils his wife without limit.

3. Key supporting characters, all helpful, with no villains

- Lin Weiwei: Su Wanxing’s roommate and best friend, outgoing and sociable, always shipping the couple and giving them a hand.

- Jiang Yi: Lu Zhiyan’s roommate and childhood friend, sunny and cheerful, the male lead’s personal messenger and a master at bringing the couple together.
