A Chaos-Born Spectator: He Just Stopped by to Watch the Show

“Shi” has no fixed form and can transform into anything. It neither ages nor dies, and cannot be wounded or destroyed. No one knows where it came from or what it will eventually become. All anyone knows is that it drifts through chaos, feeding on worlds on the brink of destruction. Whenever a world is about to fall apart, it draws Shi in. Shi is neither good nor evil. It was simply so bored that it developed a taste for watching the show. So whenever a doomed world catches its attention, it takes on an avatar and visits to watch the so-called Daughters or Sons of Fortune play out their dramas. This sets off a series of stories that are as hilarious as they are exasperating. Some worlds come out ahead and escape destruction, advancing successfully and breaking free of their doomed fate. Others are destroyed even faster. But it all depends on the choices made by the Child of the World.
