Ballad of Ashen Snow: Prisoner in Red

The newly enthroned emperor, Zhu Luonan, held a wedding, taking as his bride the Crown Princess of his late elder brother.

Beneath the red candles, he gripped her chin and sneered. “Sister-in-law, take a good look. See who owns you now.”

Chu Fuyi gazed at him through tearful eyes, perfectly playing the role of a frightened substitute.

Everyone believed she survived by the emperor’s side thanks only to a face that resembled his first love.

No one knew that the “first love” he had personally shot dead three years ago was her twin sister.

And no one knew that beneath her docile facade lay a blade steeped in years of hatred.

She would make this faithless man, this palace that devoured its own, and this cold imperial authority

pay in blood for everything they had burned to ash.
