The article describes the plots of the founding emperor of the Liao Dynasty, Yelu Abaoji and his queen Shuluping, who eradicated seven Khitan tribes and ascended the throne and proclaimed themselves emperor; they used external troops to unify the Northeast; the husband and wife battled wits to depose the prince; and the court fought within the palace to eliminate dissidents. It shows the wisdom, bravery and ruthless character of the "entrepreneur" and his core team.
