The Omega Who Trained a Top Alpha Ran Away

Major plan revision

Two male leads, one-on-one pairing, both physically and emotionally devoted to each other.

The first time he marked him, he saw the flush at the corner of the other's eyes and mistook it for the trembling of prey caught in a net.

Only later did he realize it was the pity in a fisherman's gaze as he looked out over the deep sea one last time before hauling in his net.

His pheromones smelled of fir and amber, as fierce and cold as an endless snowfield.

The other's scent was white peach and patchouli, as sweet and fresh as the first hint of spring on a branch in March.

He thought he was the one claiming him.

But one night, he jolted awake and realized he could no longer tell whether the heart beating in his chest was his own, or whether it had already been ruled by the other, whose presence had seeped into his blood.

The marks went from once a week to once every three days, until he gave whenever the other needed him to.

He began to grow accustomed to that hint of white peach, the way he was accustomed to breathing, to his heartbeat, to waking up beside someone warm.

It wasn't until the other walked away that he learned what it felt like when the snowfield collapsed.

He learned that a heart could forget how to beat when someone left.

Later, he searched the whole world over, but all he found was a single line written where they had first met:

“On the day we meet again, I'll be wondering: how long will it take you to realize whose name was written into your pheromones?”

The main world is complete.
