The Partridge Sky: A Plan to Raise a Madman

[Ensemble cast, everyone beautiful, powerful, and tragic; a saint’s selfish devotion; a scoundrel’s true love; HE]

[Sharp-tongued, proud, unhinged heroine x delusional, self-persuading ghost-faced man]

*Before her sacrifice, Song Jingzhu had been blessed with an exceptional body, a radiant and noble goddess. After being resurrected, her body is gone, and she can’t be bothered to keep up the act. Beneath the sunny, cheerful good-girl exterior is an obsessive madwoman who picks fights with the whole world.

Chi Huai’s inner thoughts: She’s still incredibly strong and can fight like hell even without spiritual bones…

Chi Huai is a grim, ruthless god of slaughter who seeks revenge for his family’s blood. He pretends to be a sunny, cheerful young man, but beneath the surface he is an insecure, gloomy little puppy who can’t live without her.

Song Jingzhu’s inner thoughts: That face is still as gorgeous as ever, and that waist is still so slender…

*

Song Jingzhu died.

She drew her sword, carved out her own bones, and sacrificed herself for the Dao, acting without hesitation and finishing it all in one smooth motion.

She died with absolute clarity and glory. Later generations built temples in her honor and posthumously bestowed on her the title of Goddess of Jue Ming.

Only nine years passed before some brat brought her back to life.

A goddess? She was clearly nothing but a lunatic.

There was no time to figure out how Chi Huai, who used to have a deadpan face, had become so bright and talkative…

No time to figure out why every friend from Zhe Gu Tian seemed even crazier than the last…

(Song Jingzhu’s inner thoughts: Have they all been possessed to come after me? This is a disaster!)

The events of nine years ago were about to happen all over again…

(Chi Huai’s inner thoughts: The thing in my chest stopped being a heart a long time ago…)

1. Ensemble cast with couples. HE, but there are plenty of bittersweet moments. The heroine’s story follows two timelines, before and after her resurrection.

2. Matters of life and death, with bickering in everyday life. The righteous side is no pushover, and the villains have cheat powers.

3. The pacing is hard to pin down, and so is the writing. (There is a lot of setup early on, so the pace may be slow.)

4. Lots of foreshadowing and hidden plot threads ahead.

5. Ship whoever you like, but don’t fight about it.
