"What a Scandal!" bonus story: Modern-era edition | Extra-sweetness alert! A mutual rescue between a tyrant and his bewitching consort, and a modern-day romance for Zhang San and Wang Cuihua!
After ten years of unspoken longing, they finally reunite.
The tyrant Xiahou Dan transmigrated back to the modern era and spent ten years becoming a legend in the business world. Meanwhile, the bewitching consort Yu Wanyin, the woman who lived in his memories, is now a great director, script in hand.
On the first day they reunite, Mr. Dan corners her against a wall. “For ten years, I’ve been waiting for you to show your true colors.”
Yu Wanyin: “...Your Majesty, QR payments don’t support palace intrigue.”
From then on, the cold-faced CEO’s daily routine becomes taking his wife shopping, helping her pick out clothes, and pouring money into her film crew.
Until one day, a silent old man, covered in wounds and built like a tower, appears in an underground boxing ring. The look he gives them seems strangely familiar.
Then, characters who should have existed only in the book begin appearing one by one in unfamiliar faces, barging into the peaceful life they fought so hard to regain...
| Reader’s Guide |
1. One-on-one romance + mutual devotion + both chasing each other. Daily modern-day sweetness between the tyrant and his consort, so sugary it’ll give you a toothache.
2. Mr. Dan spent ten years preparing. Wanyin gets to coast, but not entirely. Together, they wreak havoc across the business and entertainment worlds.
3. There’s more than sweetness: jealousy, heartbreak, and suspense too. They aren’t the only ones who transmigrated, and a new game has already been set in motion.
“This reunion isn’t just about you and me.”
The writing style is surprising, the plot is real and not cliché, and Zhang San's suffering of waiting made me immersed in it. And the entry point into his mental problems after returning to reality is also great👍🏻👍🏻After all, in the book he was on the verge of collapse when he was the emperor. I really like this story, and I still remember the shock when I saw "You came too late, there are no similar people like you waiting for me here, only me who is crazy and my time is running out." Fortunately, their story continues.
The author's writing is very good, and the characters are very consistent with the original version. He also wrote about Zhang San's ten years of growth, his longing for Cuihua, and his silent attention to Cuihua. He tried hard to restrain himself from recognizing each other in advance. He also wrote a series of things that happened to them in modern times. Overall, it is a very good fan story. It is great.
Wow wow wow, it's really beautiful. I just finished reading the original work and I still feel a little bit confused. This book is like a big modern extra chapter of the original work, without any sense of dissonance. The plot is very good and the character descriptions are very consistent with the original work. After reading so many fans, this is the best one. Author, I love you so much 😢
I added it to the bookshelf a long time ago. I clicked on it yesterday and kept reading. I just finished reading it. The author's writing style is very good, and it also makes up for some of my regrets about the original work, Xiao Tiancai and Xie Yong'er, Cen Jintian and Er Lan, and Beizhou who sacrificed for Xia Houdan. In this life, they will not be separated for the rest of their lives. They will live and work together as a team and a family for the rest of their lives.
Can you update five or six chapters every day? It's so beautiful and it's really well written. Also, can Zhang San check how the other people came to the real world? I want to know how Uncle Bei and Xiao Tiancai came to the real world. Also, Xiao Tiancai's phone has photos from childhood to adulthood. Is it because there is a person named Xiao Tiancai in the real world, just like Yang Mi's "Palace"? The protagonist is a modern person, but he can find someone who looks exactly like him in ancient times. If there really is a modern person like Xiao Tiancai in the real world, does that mean that other people will also have modern people who look like him? I just suddenly thought of this point, and I feel that the author can take a look and maybe he can provide some help. In addition, I would like to praise you again. It is really well written. Even the company's affairs are written in great detail. It is really great!!!
The writing is quite good, but it's too short. I hope it can be written more sweetly to make up for the lack of energy after watching the drama.
After flipping through the pages for continuations, this is the only one I have finished reading. The other authors either changed the setting of the original novel or contacted Wanyin in advance. Unless the writing is excellent, if the original work is changed, the bond and sense of fate will most likely be reduced and become less noticeable. As for early contact, if the trajectory changes, it may be another person who passes through. Who dares to bet. This book fills in a lot of gaps and brings a great completion to the original work. You can read it at a glance.
Super Invincible Explosive Purely Sweet Story [Smirk] 🤭 [Smirk] Some parts are illogical but generally good-looking 💕 💕 💕 There is no conflict between the male and female protagonists. In the early stage, it was suspected of popularizing financial science 😂 😂
I got into it from the anime version, then started reading the novels, and then read the modern chapters. I had basically never been exposed to novels before, but the author's writing was so good. I only watched one episode and was deeply attracted. Every word of the author's words was written in my heart. Regarding the novel, sometimes it's sweet and sometimes it's like looking for candy in a knife. To be honest, it's very interesting. The last one...🐟🥚99 Sanhua 99
The writing is excellent. This book is like a huge extra story, which deeply immerses Xiahou Dan into the story.
