Mythology returns, and gods walk among us in the city. And me? I'm just an ordinary landlord who inherited an old apartment building. Then I realize there's something off about my tenants: the Greek woman in 301 is always weaving fate late at night; the Nordic blacksmith in 402 can make thunderstorms break out with the sound of his hammer; and the elderly Eastern gentleman in 101 likes to grow herbs in the courtyard that grant immortality to anyone who eats them... They always pay rent on time, and they're all terrified of me. Then angels and demons start fighting over the neighborhood right below my building. Wearing my pajamas and holding a megaphone, I open the window and shout, “Quiet! You're disturbing the neighbors! Keep it up and I'll raise everyone's rent!” In an instant, gods and demons fall silent. I turn to the stunned investigator and say, “Oh, right, it's the end of the month. Remind your director he owes me three months' worth of incense money.”
