When compassion becomes a breeding ground for evil, and forbearance turns into an excuse for abuse, in this life, I will not be the foolish monk who cuts off his flesh to feed an eagle. I will be the Wrathful Vajra who subdues demons!
Programmer Lin Feng transmigrates into the eminent monk Xuan Bei, only to discover that he has inherited a hellish mess:
· The previous owner lived a life of compassion, giving his flesh to save others and giving away all his wealth, only to be betrayed by those he saved and left unburied beneath a withered tree.
· The Ten “Benefactors” are all heartless and ungrateful. Their mouths overflow with Buddhist teachings, but every one of them has forgotten his kindness.
In his grief and outrage, the [Buddha's Radiance Illuminates All System] activates:
· Merit points save the people; karma points destroy evil demons.
· To kill in order to stop killing is compassion; to answer violence with violence is to defend the Dharma!
From then on, Lin Feng embarks on an unprecedented path:
· Facing greedy nobles, he lays a trap that makes them suffer the consequences of their own actions, then sighs softly, “Greed is the root of suffering.”
· Facing hypocritical demons, he smashes their souls beneath his Vajra staff and murmurs, “To take life is to protect life.”
· Facing distorted Buddhist teachings, he tears apart false scriptures in public and shouts, “Rely on the Dharma, not on people!”
He travels from the northern frontier, ravaged by bitter cold, to the demonic calamities of the East Sea; from the demon kingdom of the Western Regions to the witchcraft domains of the southern frontier. With one hand, he wields his staff and executes all who deserve to die. With the other, he holds a flower between his fingers and saves every heart in this world that can still be saved.
At last, facing the “Doomsday Buddha” who intends to purge the human world, Lin Feng meets his gaze:
“You saw nothing but evil in human nature, so you became evil itself. I see light even in the midst of evil, so I choose to protect that light.”
“The Buddha is not in the heavens. The Buddha is among us, in the heart of every ordinary person who can tell right from wrong and dares to choose.”
“In this life, I, Lin Feng, will be the Wrathful Vajra!”
