Su Huaian pressed closer, step by step. The evening breeze was cool, and the setting sun cast a soft glow around him.
Su Huaian pinned Lin Yiqiu against the wall, his body forming a cage around her. His heavy breath brushed her face, tickling her slightly.
Lin Yiqiu nervously twisted her fingers. Her ears burned, and her gaze instinctively dropped.
“Go on, say it. Why’d you stop?”
She raised her eyes and met Su Huaian’s shy yet fervent kiss.
Her pupils suddenly widened. Su Huaian abruptly pulled away and licked his lower lip. “Salty...”
“You... jerk...”
Lin Yiqiu’s chest heaved as she repeatedly wiped her lips with the back of her hand. The flush on her cheeks might have been from embarrassment or anger.
Su Huaian grinned, brazen and carefree. “What does it feel like to be kissed by someone you hate?!”
“If you’re going to cry, do it now. Otherwise...” Su Huaian paused, his grin growing wider. “You won’t even have the strength to cry...”
