Handong Is the Biggest Stage: Come If You Dare

A spin-off novel based primarily on In the Name of the People. The Zhong and Wang families refuse to accept Zhao Lichun’s position and move to undermine it, bringing Sha Ruijin directly to Handong to disrupt Zhao Lichun’s power base. But they don’t realize that Zhao Lichun’s roots in Handong aren’t all that deep. He is certainly powerful, but calling him an autocrat would be an exaggeration. Sha Ruijin arrives in Handong with Tian Guofu, the discipline inspection commission secretary, and visits various parts of the province to conduct research. The message is clear: they’re there to take people down. Likewise, Sha Ruijin’s own inaction and lack of accountability have made him thoroughly unimpressive to his superiors. Li Zheng is parachuted into Handong with a mission of his own. This major economic province, one of the strongest in the country, is about to show what it can do.
