The good news: I gained the ability to lock the course of Ming history.
The bad news: all my tools are a bunch of ridiculous players, and they don’t follow orders!
The central conflict: I want to save the country properly, while the players just want to mess around.
Scene: A Western fleet is approaching. Shen Yu orders them to “build a defensive line.”
The protagonist’s move: He provides blueprints and has them build artillery forts.
Unexpected result: The players think forts aren’t cool enough, so they build a giant robot, and the damn thing actually moves!
Others’ reaction: The Western admiral cries, “Mother, the Easterners’ idol is coming to attack us!”
Shen Yu is tired. Just destroy the world already.
He only wanted to lock history in place. How did the players manage to wreck everything?
But you know what... These lunatics actually turned China into a beacon for the world!
(Western civilization: Please, stop locking history! Keep this up and the whole world will belong to the Ming!)
Since the West keeps rewriting history, let them see what a true infrastructure-building powerhouse looks like!
“Reporting, sir! We’ve discovered Western interlopers trying to install a puppet regime at the end of the Ming!”
Shen Yu gives a cold laugh as he looks at the dense cluster of red player markers on the map.
“Pass on my orders: all one billion players, attack! If each of you spits once, we can drown them!”
This isn’t a game. It’s a war to defend civilization across time and space!
As long as I’m here, no one will ever sever the mighty river of Chinese history!
“Those who offend our mighty Han, however far away, must be killed. Those who sow chaos in our Ming, wherever they come from, must die!”
The ideas are all good, but there is something wrong with your worldview. In modern times, which short drama did you set it as the background? Even if you don't retaliate for a fight, can you look like a Ming Dynasty person in the late Ming Dynasty? Could players, as well as structural mechanics, have appeared in that era? Is this something you, a local NPC, should know?
You NPC shouldn't be able to be resurrected like a player, but you always run to the front line to steal the player's role.
