Twenty-five-year-old Zhao Yunbai, an internet company operations specialist, was staying up late reading a novel when she angrily called out the vicious supporting character Shen Qing for her brainless, suicidal antics. A bolt of thunder struck her, and she transmigrated into the original Shen Qing, a cannon-fodder character. The original was infatuated with the male lead and repeatedly harmed the female lead. According to the plot, she wouldn't survive two chapters, and now she was about to be sentenced to death!
Armed with the plot, Zhao Yunbai (Shen Qing) immediately gave up trying: she shut herself away, refused to flirt with the male lead, stayed clear of the female lead to avoid getting killed off, and offered a huge reward throughout the city for any unusual person who could help her return to the modern world.
To her utter surprise, the "expert" she found was none other than Nan Fang, the original author of the novel, who had also transmigrated into the book! One was an operations workaholic with the plot at her fingertips; the other was the original author, who knew every hidden detail. The two modern office workers became "survival buddies" in the ancient world. They refused to follow the original plot, focused on their careers, avoided becoming cannon fodder, and fought against plot corrections. As they joined forces to face a new villain who appeared out of nowhere and searched for a way back to their own world, they unwittingly rewrote everyone's fate and even set the original novel's male and female leads on the path to "self-awakening"...
When an operations specialist's way of thinking meets an author's wild imagination, the vicious supporting character's fight to survive takes on the style of an independent female lead!
