What is hometown?
For Lin Sui'an, hometown has never been a place.
When he was four years old, his father collapsed in a logging accident, and the family's five cattle were sold to pay for surgery. She stood by the empty cowshed holding the kitten, and understood for the first time: some roots are meant to be cut off.
From then on, she became a person without an anchor.
This is a story about "leaving" to "arrive". A girl spends her life walking just to prove that the real hometown is never the land, but the moment when you can finally get along with your wanderings.
"I bring with me the morning dew from the mountains and the dust of foreign countries,
Under every temporary roof,
Rebuilding my mobile hometown. "
