Chen Mo, the orthodox descendant of the Qi Sect, took the ancient books and compass left behind by his grandfather and set up a stall in the old city of Qingzhou, just to find out the truth about his grandfather's murder. He uses street fortune-telling as a guise to break evil spirits, exorcise evil spirits, and fight against evil spirits. From a ridiculed "charlatan", he counterattacks into a Qimen expert who protects the city. He joins hands with his allies to expose the Li family's century-old conspiracy, and interprets a Qimen legend in which evil does not suppress good.
