The Laid-Back Tycoon and the Heavenly Fairy Are Chasing Me

After being reborn, Lin Xian decides he absolutely won't work hard in this life. After all, the hundreds of billions he earned in his previous life are enough to last several lifetimes. His ideal life is simple: sleep until he wakes naturally, make things by hand until his fingers ache, watch anime until his eyes blur, and fish until the end of time.

Then he posts a listing on Xianyu offering to make movie and TV props, and gets a strange order: “Need a custom prop Xuanyuan Sword that can pass through airport security. Urgent! Waiting online!”

The customer is national goddess Liu Yifei.

Lin Xian means to do a half-hearted job, but when he sees the 100,000 yuan deposit in his account, he falls into thought. “That money... could probably buy the limited-edition Rei Ayanami figure I want?”

And so, the entertainment industry's most ridiculous couple is born:

The top-tier star races around the film set clutching her prop sword, only to discover that it can actually cut through steel plates. When she tries to find the maker and demand an explanation, all she sees is a lazy otaku in anime pajamas, squinting at her and saying, “Thanks, dear! Please leave me a five-star review!”

From then on, Liu Yifei's life starts to fall apart. Her new headphones can make paparazzi listening devices explode. Temperature-control chips are sewn into the lining of her costumes. Even her RV has been converted into a mobile fortress by some “helpful seller.”

“Lin Xian! Can you take anything seriously?”

“I am serious! Look, I just made an automatic instant-noodle machine. Want to try it?”

This is a lighthearted story about a laid-back tech geek and a national goddess who, amid a chaotic daily life, gradually discover that they are “the right person” for each other.
