Rust in the Bloodline

(No System / Not a power fantasy / No invincible protagonist / Two male leads / Furry fiction)

This is a world where bloodline is destiny.

Kells, a silver wolf general, refused to claw those who couldn't fight back. His family branded him with the mark of shame and exiled him to the borderlands.

Thorne, a red fox mechanic, builds defenses amid rust and shadow. He loathes any oppression dressed up as “glory.”

A plague called “Bloodline Rust” is making the fur of lowborn beastfolk fall out and their claws rot away.

When the exiled silver wolf investigating the plague's source crosses paths in a sewer alley with the underground fox protecting his people, each sees the same suspicion and unyielding resolve in the other's eyes. Claws and machinery are forced into an alliance, and their pact is forged amid mistrust.

They soon discover this is more than just a plague. The foundations of a thousand-year order built on so-called “noble bloodlines” and “inferior races” are soaked in lies and sacrifice. And it's not just flesh and blood that is “rusting.”
