The Abandoned Daughter, Bandit Queen: Raising a Child and Farming to Save the World

Fantasy, imaginative twists, historical romance, space, farming, raising children, and political intrigue.

Shen Qingci, a discarded daughter despised by her parents and sold to a brothel for a hundred taels, is actually a modern special forces soldier who has transmigrated into another body. While fleeing, she “picks up” a drunken handsome man to father her child, then takes refuge in Wolf Mountain, where she kills the bandit chief and establishes her own stronghold. She raises her child while farming and building up the place.

While other bandits steal grain, she teaches her followers to reclaim wasteland and make fertilizer. While others rob and plunder, she sets up fair trade and opens a school. She practices boxing during pregnancy to protect her baby, then leads troops to expand her territory after giving birth. Her twins, a boy and a girl, are both her weakness and her armor. Wolf Mountain transforms from a barren wilderness into a prosperous land, and people from nearby villages flock to join her.

When the authorities lay siege and the barbarians invade, Shen Qingci sets down her hoe and picks up her blade. “No one lays a hand on my children, my fields, or my people!”

From castoff daughter to bandit queen, from farming to feed her family to defending the border and keeping the people safe, she proves with her strength that raising children and farming can lead to great things. As a bandit, she’ll protect the realm and bring peace to the land!
