"Qilin Gone Away" tells the story of the deep friendship spanning fifteen years between Wang Jianguo, the owner of a private manufacturing company, and Qilin, a Tibetan driver. It shows a spiritual dialogue that connects the city and the plateau, modern industrial civilization and simple Tibetan culture. Reflecting on the excessive pursuit of "success", "efficiency" and "control" in modern urban life, and exploring how to find the "reality" and "temperature" of life in an industrialized and fast-paced society, as well as thoughts on "parting" and "eternity".
