The Sword Falls in the Capital

The Great Xia Dynasty was founded on martial might, so the emperor decreed that all future emperors must excel in both civil and military affairs. Everyone marveled at the literary brilliance of the protagonist, the Third Prince. His only shortcoming was that he was frail and sickly, unable to practice martial arts.

From then on, he traveled the martial world, far from the imperial palace. By chance, he bought wine for an old man, who turned out to be the Sword Immortal of the age. After observing the Third Prince for five years, the old man decided that he had exceptional character and virtue, and passed on to him the secret art Sword Thirteen.

But five years later, his father was nearing death. To secure his hold on the throne, his second brother murdered four of their younger brothers. The protagonist had never wanted the throne, but now he had no choice but to act. Otherwise, what would become of the realm?

This novel is rich in the spirit of the martial world, making it perfect for readers who love wuxia.
