Geomantic Bone Reader

Synopsis of Green Scar

Li Qingwa is a country boy with a mysterious birthmark on his left cheek. From the day he was born, his fate has been bound to a three-hundred-year-old locust tree that withered overnight. Eighteen years later, a sinister bronze cauldron engraved with long-lost talismans is discovered beneath the ancient tree’s roots, stirring bloody secrets buried for decades: the lingering legacy of the Japanese army’s “dragon-vein grafting” experiments is awakening deep underground.

The “Qi-Sensing Eye” forced open within him lets him glimpse an alternate truth of the world: the flow of earth energy mirrors the rise and fall of the nation, feng shui death traps conceal international power plays, and folk taboos are entangled in a hidden web of interests. From the ravines of the loess plateau to international metropolises, from the world of common folk to the halls of power, he wields the occult arts like a sword, traversing the dragon veins of China and navigating the forces at play.

Ancient shamanic talismans clash with modern detection equipment, while folk magic confronts the undercurrents of geopolitics. When his birthmark burns again and the call from below becomes a real threat, he must uncover the ultimate truth behind the mark on his skin and find a way to survive, both for himself and for this land, amid the fractures of history and the tides of a changing age.
