The I Ching Decision-Making Method: Stop Working in Vain and Climb the Career Ladder

Five years on the job, countless hours of overtime, no progress in salary, and promotion always going to someone else.

Ming Yi, a man whose name carries the image of a hexagram from the Book of Changes, once thought he was doomed to spend his life scrambling at the bottom of the workplace.

Then he happened upon an ancient family heirloom: a copy of the Book of Changes. Only then did he realize that his name, “Ming Yi,” was an allusion to the hexagram’s counsel: “Conceal your light and bide your time, then act when the moment is right.”

He grasped the wisdom of navigating life and making decisions hidden in the hexagrams, and his career turned around completely:

- The Hidden Dragon: He quietly honed his core skills, avoiding the workplace traps of being ostracized by colleagues and ignored by his boss;

- The Dragon Appears in the Field: He seized a pivotal project at just the right moment and made everyone see what he could do;

- The Flying Dragon in the Heavens: Using the hexagrams to read trends and make decisions, he rose from an ordinary employee to management, eventually carving out a place for himself in his industry.

Others just said he was lucky and knew how to handle people. Only Ming Yi knew that what they called thriving by going with the flow was really a matter of understanding the underlying principles of the Book of Changes.

This is no mystical tome. It’s a guide to survival that draws on a thousand years of wisdom to teach you how to stop running around in circles and find your rhythm at work!
