Master of Astral Patterns

The Su family of the Canglan Domain was once a renowned clan of rune artisans. But after a conspiracy put their ancestral Star Rune Rubbing Technique in the sights of covetous eyes, the Qinglan Sect began suppressing them, and the family fell into decline. Su Chen, the young master, was born with a "Spirit Rune Wastrel Body," unable to properly imprint or fuse spirit runes. The entire Canglan Domain mocked him as a "disgrace to the Rune Dao." Even his fiancée came to break off their engagement, leaving the family on the brink of ruin.

Just as Su Chen was overcome with despair, the ancestral Star Rune Rubbing Brush suddenly began to glow, awakening a fragment of the hidden Star Vault Mother Rune and a star core within him. Under Elder Mo's guidance, Su Chen learned that he was no wastrel, but a "Rune Dao Imperial Heir," born in harmony with the Star Vault Mother Rune. He simply needed a special cultivation method. From then on, Su Chen embarked on the path to reversal: he imprinted his first spirit rune in the Black Rune Secret Realm, awakened his star core in the Su family's ancestral grounds, and stunned everyone at the Heavenly Rune Assembly, face-slapping all those who had looked down on him.

To take revenge, Su Chen defeated the Qinglan Sect Master and restored the Su family to its former glory. To grow stronger, he ventured into the Central Continent Rune Domain, joined the Rune Dao Alliance, and competed for spirit rune resources against powerful figures such as Feng Qingyao. He evolved his star core in the Sea of Star Runes and awakened his ancient clan bloodline in the Ancient Clan Rune Cavern. To protect what mattered, he allied with righteous forces to fight the Dark Rune Hall and extraterrestrial Rune Demons, who sought to devour spirit runes. He formed his own faction, the Star Rune Pavilion, and gradually rose to become the Rune Dao Alliance's leader.

Along the way, he and Ling Xi supported each other and became Dao companions in the Rune Dao. He shared life and death with Tie Shan, forging a deep brotherhood, while Elder Mo became both his mentor and father figure, passing down the ancient Rune Dao. He experienced family betrayal, allies turning against him, and his beloved in danger, as well as the joy of breaking through to a new realm, the thrill of claiming treasures, and the glory of victory.
