This is a shattered Immortal Realm where the Dao Lords have fallen and the laws have crumbled. Thirty thousand years ago, the Ten Great Dao Lords, who ruled over all the heavens, fell in a battle beyond the Chaos Heavens. Fragments of their Dao origins, scattered from them as they died, fell throughout the realms, throwing the laws into chaos and twisting the spiritual energy. The old order collapsed, and new powerhouses relied on the Dao Lords' legacy, seized through plunder, to dominate their own territories. The Immortal Realm became an "Age Without the Dao," divided among countless factions locked in bloody conflict.
The protagonist, Lu Xuan, was once the youngest of the Ten Great Dao Lords, the "Dao Lord of Annihilation," who controlled the Dao of life, death, and annihilation. But in the final battle, the other nine Dao Lords joined forces to ambush him. His Dao body crumbled, leaving only a wisp of his soul. Thirty thousand years later, he is reborn in the lower realm as a servant disciple of the Qingyun Sect, an outcast because of his exceptionally poor natural aptitude.
