[Three days from now, Earth will stop rotating: one side in eternal daylight, the other in eternal night]
I woke up, and the world had turned surreal.
“A once-in-a-million-years affinity for the elements of space and time.” The whole school erupted, and the older girls started “bumping into” me eight times a day.
But I had no time for romance.
Yesterday, a mysterious person covered in blood crawled out of a rift in time and burned a seventy-two-hour countdown into my mind, along with a silent vision of Earth stopping its rotation: skyscrapers melting beneath the eternal sun, civilization freezing in the endless night, and legendary mages burning up their lives to barely hold together a fragile order.
They say this disaster has no solution.
But when I touched the motionless axis of the Earth, ancient whispers roared through my blood: “Orc.”
The Earth's stopped rotation isn't an accident. It's a blood-red ritual that sacrifices every living being on the planet, all to drag Its sleeping body into the future, where It will forcibly descend ten years from now.
The countdown has begun.
“They think the Earth's stopping is the end. But I know it's only the prelude to... Its opening eyes.”
