[Epic worldbuilding] [Western Fantasy] [Kingdom development] [No female lead] [No System] [No dumbed-down characters] [No gratuitous suffering for the protagonist]
Bad news: Blue Star was destroyed, and I transmigrated.
Good news: I didn't land in a zombie horde. I ended up in another world.
Bad news: No golden finger, just barren mountains and treacherous people everywhere.
Even worse news: The local lord tossed me two lines: “Get this place built up within two years, or you'll die.”
What's the problem? Not much.
Just a made-up setting, a brewing rebellion, a plague, difficult production, a small population, scarce magic, a war with the church, conscription, a food shortage, invasions from neighboring territories, a collapsing kingdom, and gods and mortals turning traitor...
But since I'm here, I don't mind giving these natives a little taste of modern thinking.
I'll build businesses in the slums, bring capitalism into politics, and demand payment for divine quests.
When everyone else avoids a mess, I charge in and devour it with gusto.
Until one day, the old count came running over, bowing and scraping as he offered me his scepter.
“Boss, you're the real king here.”
I sat on the throne and blinked. “Huh? How did I end up king?”
No cheat ability, yet I can turn this miserable world into a feel-good hit.
Let the show begin. This time, as always, I'm going to live more freely than anyone.
The early chapters are a little slow to warm up, and the story doesn't dumb things down.
It's too slow to follow, faster and faster 🍉
