(Aloof deity x gentle priest, high school and college life, supernatural, two powerful leads, both inexperienced, one-on-one romance, happy ending, mutual devotion, sweet romance)
In a twist of fate, Shu Fan transmigrates and becomes the High Priest of the Li Dynasty. As he serves the gods, he also cultivates himself. Just as he's about to ascend, a deity appears during a sacrificial ritual and delivers a divine message:
"In the cycle of mortal reincarnation, the guardian will awaken. Don't be afraid. I'm here."
When Shu Fan wakes up, he's back in the modern world as the student he was before he transmigrated.
Back at school, the transfer student Lin Chen becomes his desk mate.
That face is identical to the true likeness of the deity enshrined in the temple. The moment Lin Chen sees him, he murmurs:
"...Reincarnation?"
From then on, Lin Chen instinctively sticks close to him and protects him. As they go from high school to college, the two grow closer and closer.
Meanwhile, strange things keep happening at school: a person trapped in a fan at a classmate's house, an antique mirror in a classmate's home, and an evil god summoned at the school's arts festival...
It seems someone is setting them up, one incident after another.
Why has the deity been reincarnated?
And why has Shu Fan transmigrated again?
Who's targeting them?
As they gradually uncover the truth, their fates become inextricably bound together.
