At the dawn of heaven and earth, before primordial chaos had been divided, when pure qi had yet to rise and turbid qi had yet to sink, the power at the heart of chaos condensed into a perfectly round treasure orb: the Spirit Origin Pearl. It was the beginning of all things and the source of all laws, the birthplace of the first spirits of heaven and earth. It commanded the creation and destruction of the universe and held powers beyond the comprehension of gods and ghosts.
Its form was ever-changing, often appearing as a circular radiance several feet across. Within it, galaxies turned endlessly and yin and yang flowed in cycles. Its colors shifted with its surroundings: still, it resembled the mysterious yellow of primordial chaos; in motion, it blazed with seven-colored divine light. Touch it, and pure primordial qi would enter the body, cleansing the marrow and meridians and reversing life and death.
The characterization of the characters and the ups and downs of the plot make it easy for readers to immerse themselves in it. When I stumbled across this book, I couldn't put it down. The sense of immersion was so strong that I still had more to read.
The characters are vividly drawn, and the writing is fluent and delicate. It is rare to read such a good novel and it is worth reading.
