My Time-Space Messenger Is a Bird

Time-Space Doctor + Fictional Dynasty + Strong Female Lead + No Romance + Ensemble Cast + Huge Golden Finger She is a traveler who walks between the cracks in time, and a craftswoman who repairs the breaks in civilization. Jin Zhao, the youngest time-space doctor at the Time-Space Administration, takes on the calls of ancient civilizations again and again, arriving at the ruptures in history to gather the karmic energy she needs to travel through time. She visited the Shengming Dynasty, where commerce was suppressed in favor of agriculture and an economic crisis was on the verge of erupting. With a combination of reforms to the salt-license system and a policy that let officials and merchants profit together, she helped a family destined to decline get back on its feet, and even pried open the lifeline of the entire empire’s economy. She set foot in the Xuanliang Dynasty, where noble clans and imperial power were locked in fierce competition. By striking at the root with expanded civil service exams and schools for the poor, she defused a century in the making of bloody political upheaval without drawing a single blade. She ventured into a dying dynasty beset by plague and unrest, establishing a disease-prevention system, reforming public toilets, and compiling medical texts for the common people. With her own efforts, she rewrote the historical rule that “great chaos always follows a great plague.” She never stays for anyone, and she has never belonged to any era. Jinwu is her emissary through time. It can transform into a divine golden crow, is eloquent and sharp-tongued, and fiercely protective. It is her partner in battle, and the only one who can accompany her through the storms of time. And wherever she goes, someone is always illuminated by her light. Countless worlds. Countless dynasties. She seeks neither power nor immortality. Only the endless flourishing of civilization.
