[Overpowered protagonist + livestreaming ghost hunts + secret identities + daily one-upmanship in acting]
Jiang Chen has a secret: he is the last legend of the cultivation world, a Celestial Master in purple robes.
He has an even bigger secret: his wife, Su Wan, is the legendary nine-tailed fox who is said to eat people.
For the sake of a harmonious marriage, the couple decide to keep up their act to the very end.
Jiang Chen: “Honey, I lost my job. I want to livestream to help with the bills.”
Su Wan (nicking her finger while chopping vegetables, only for the cut to heal instantly): “Sure, honey. I believe in you.”
And so, a bizarre new force emerged in the livestreaming world.
Other people rely on a System to catch ghosts. Jiang Chen catches them by “acting.”
When he faces a red-clad vengeful ghost, Jiang Chen thinks, “Die!” but cries out in terror, “Run! This ghost is vicious!”
Then he casually waves a hand, and the ghost is instantly beaten until its soul scatters.
Comments: “The streamer is incredible! That acting, that realism, the Oscars owe you a statuette!”
Then one night, the underworld invades, and chilling winds run rampant.
The Special Affairs Bureau is wiped out, and all of humanity falls into despair.
Su Wan is just about to break her seal and go on a killing spree.
But then she sees the timid househusband she knows step slowly out of the room.
With one hand behind his back and purple energy surging around him, he speaks, his voice echoing through heaven and earth:
“You can come after me, but touch my wife? Then this underworld can go to hell!”
Su Wan: “???”
Weren’t we both supposed to be ordinary people? What have you been secretly practicing behind my back?!
