Light of the Super Ancient Era: Novatenis Ultraman

Three hundred million years ago, Novatenis, the remains of an ancient Giant of Light, got stuck on Gatanothor’s shell for being “too shameless” and was forced into “hibernation.” He wakes up three hundred million years later, but he doesn’t want to save the world or destroy it. All he wants is to… “watch the show.”

So he starts living in a whole new, shameless way: at the bottom of the sea in Luluye, he treats Gatanothor’s dark energy as “free late-night snacks” and leeches off its “Wi-Fi” (dark energy) to stay alive.

He follows Ultraman Tiga’s battles on Earth like they’re an “Ultraman series,” then gives them scathing reviews.

Whenever he gets restless, he casually whips up a few “disposable transformation devices” and tosses them onto Earth, randomly turning “lucky passersby” into “wild Ultramen or monsters” just to stir things up and amuse himself, throwing the plot into chaos.

But the more engrossed he gets in watching the show, the more the “shameless” energy inside him begins to “loosen.” Without meaning to, he keeps “working the system” and indefinitely delays Gatanothor’s awakening.

The transformation devices he makes evolve from “emotion-fueled transformations” to “transformations determined by one’s state of mind.” He even starts “borrowing” ancient stone statues as “temporary or full-time workers.”

The “fun” he creates on Earth even attracts the cosmic life-form known as the Spheres, leading to Earth being sealed inside a planetary barrier.

This is the slapstick daily-life story of an ancient relic from the prehistoric era who is “shameless, a chaos-loving smart mouth, a lie-flat type, yet unfathomably powerful,” and how he turns Ultraman’s epic mission to save the world into a tale of “I’m the director behind the scenes, casually getting stronger by working the system.”
