The Heart of the Law

The Art of Legal Warfare: A strategist from two thousand years ago lives in her mind.

A bolt of lightning strikes, sending the consciousness of Sun Bin, the legendary military strategist of the Warring States period, into the mind of Su Nian, a rookie lawyer who keeps losing but never gives up. From then on, the modern courtroom becomes her battlefield, and legal statutes become her military orders.

When the art of war storms into the courtroom, the rules are about to be turned upside down.

Facing witnesses bound by an ironclad alliance, she uses the “sow discord” strategy to turn them against each other. Trapped in a dead end with no evidence, she uses “feint in the east, attack in the west” to expose the dark truth. Faced with seemingly flawless medical records, she dares to “fight as if with no way out,” livestreaming a blind review and staging a stunning reversal.

Their relationship, evolving from mutual rejection to living and fighting as one, is the soul of the story.

She brings the “justice” of modern law, while he lends her the “strategic insight” of a thousand years of wisdom. As they join forces to take on corporate behemoths, they become comrades who would give their lives for one another. But when their most formidable adversary coldly reveals, “Your way of thinking is exactly like that dead man from history whose legs were cut off...” the grudge spanning a thousand years and the truth of the transmigration are finally laid bare.

This is more than a “feel-good” drama. It is a meeting of ancient and modern ideas about justice.

See how Su Nian wields ancient wisdom to thunder on behalf of the voiceless and make a winning move in an apparently unwinnable game. When the gavel falls, the rhythm of military strategy rings out; when justice is served, a thousand years of redemption are complete.

The plot is in motion. Take your seat and witness the most hard-hitting way to deliver justice.
