On the first day of high school, Yun Xian meets an absurd homeroom teacher. The genius teacher, who has been reborn, has somehow lost his memory. Every teacher in the school knows he’s an extraordinary prodigy, but he himself is completely out of it: one moment he’s sitting in front of Yun Xian, horsing around as her “classmate,” and the next he suddenly remembers he’s a teacher and strides to the front of the classroom with a piece of chalk to teach. The girl in the front row spends every day swooning over this bickering pair. As the prettiest underachiever in class, Yun Xian doesn’t care when the teacher calls her “hopelessly stupid,” thanks to her modern outlook. Instead, she keeps teasing him at every opportunity, stirring tender feelings in the heart of this arrogant genius. A multiplication problem that turns the usual approach on its head becomes the key: he suddenly remembers who he is, walks straight to the board, and solves it, publicly reclaiming his identity as the class’s homeroom teacher. But their youthful push and pull is soon cut short when the genius teacher suddenly disappears. The other teachers had warned him not to get too close to Yun Xian, but he never listened. Now, with nowhere else to turn, the whole school pressures Yun Xian to go find the vanished genius teacher, the one man who treated her differently from everyone else.
