The Legend of the Wake-Up Clapper

Chen Ping'an is just a teahouse storyteller, inexperienced and timid.

Until the day he was telling the tale of Nie Yinniang, when a demon's hair dangled down from the rafters.

In a panic, he struck the ancestral clapper in his hand, and somehow "pinned" the creature in place.

Only then did he learn the truth: the world was in chaos, and demons thrived on the "clamor of troubled human hearts." Storytellers were not mere entertainers, but guardians of the spoken word, hidden among ordinary folk. The clapper was a "Sound-Settling Mallet." Every story was a spell, and every time he struck the table, he could suppress demons.

But there was a price: whenever he summoned a hero from a story, he permanently lost a memory.

Across the street, Shen Qingxian, heir to the Qin Xin Pavilion, regarded him coldly. For a hundred years, her sect had used music to soothe people's hearts, clashing with the guardians' beliefs.

One storyteller who subdues demons with words, one zither player who heals hearts with music.

From rivals to allies, from fighting to falling in love.

Then the ultimate catastrophe, the "Calamity of Silence," descended. Absolute stillness was devouring the world, and every sound was about to disappear.

They must stake their memories and their lives to perform the final "Harmony of Zither and Story."

The storyteller's clapper, the Qin Xin Pavilion's Fengqi Zither, and the voices of all living beings...

Can this battle ensure that the human world will still have a voice?
