Old Fist

In 2145, in a Chinese-style cyberpunk society, Chen Xiaofeng is a sanitation worker whose daughter is terminally ill. Her only hope of saving her is the prize in an underground boxing tournament: a T1000 nanotech spine. She has only six months to go from an ordinary person to a fighter who can step into the ring.

Wang Qianxi is thirty-five and a boxing fixer. He has kept his identity hidden for twenty years, turning “Force 8 Gale” into an underground boxing legend. His plan is to throw one last fight, then disappear with the money. It was perfect, until he lost that final fixed match. Burdened with enormous debts, he went from legendary champion to a nobody with nothing.

Now he sits in a wheelchair, facing a sanitation worker and mother who asks him: Can you teach me to box?

“When a scheming fighter meets a mother fighting for her life, the underdog’s comeback begins!”
