Detective Chen Mo is trapped in the seven-day loop before the death of female painter Su Wanqing. Each time he restarts, he gets closer to the real murderer, but he finds that all the evidence points to another smarter and colder "self" in the loop. He must reveal who is the shadow and who is the true body of these two "selves" before time runs out.
