The Cursed Forum’s Forced Love

A forum suddenly starts relentlessly recommending mildly scary forum-style novels:

“Help! Why Can’t Bus 408 Reach the Next Stop?!”

“Guys, Can You Tell Left from Right?”

“It’s Ten O’Clock. Why Is the Advanced Class at No. 1 High School Still in Session?”

Forum User A: Awesome! I’m camping here, I’m camping here! Save Grandma! More updates, please!

Forum User B: It’s a ghost! Send me 50 yuan and I’ll exorcise it remotely!

Forum User C: Aaaaaah, it’s a ghost! Someone save the original poster!

After having posts shoved in her face countless times, and following their instructions to rescue people caught up in paranormal incidents time and again, Xu Xiaoxiao can’t help but wonder: “Oh no, am I being forced into a relationship by this creepy forum?”

Xu Xiaoxiao is a member of an official paranormal organization.

She can write reports with a pen and slay evil spirits with a sword. Her only weakness is that her acting skills are below zero.

To comply with confidentiality regulations, she’s forced to play two roles. While crushing ghosts with her copper-coin sword, she solemnly explains to the public:

“This isn’t a ghostly maze, it’s magnetic interference.”

“What do you mean an evil spirit is after your life? You’re just under too much psychological stress.”

“You saw a ghost? Right. You should consider seeing a psychologist.”

Xu Xiaoxiao insists: We have to believe in science. It’s all an illusion :)

A colleague points at the recommendations on the forum on her phone:

“The forum loves you this much. Is that scientific?”
