Synopsis of the story of "Crow's Feast"
In Huizhou at the end of the Qing Dynasty, scholar Zhang Jingxuan and his wife Huang Wenxiu seized the family property with shrewd calculations, but both fell into the abyss of opium. The eldest son died violently, the second son died in infancy, and the family collapsed amid calculations and drug addiction. In a desperate situation, Wenxiu hid the corruption secrets left by her father-in-law in exchange for life, but was involved in a deeper conspiracy. During her escape, she adopted an abandoned son, Zhang Chengsi, and formed an apocalyptic alliance with her disfigured eldest son and her concubine who had fallen into prostitution.
