Phoenix Rules the Nine Realms: The Palace Consort Who Won’t Be Trifled With
Su Ninghua, the illegitimate daughter of the Northern Garrison General’s household, is gentle and kind. Her mother died far from home after being wrongfully accused, and from childhood, her stepmother and legitimate elder sister have treated her like dirt.
An imperial edict ordering a selection of consorts thrusts her into the inner palace. She is given the lowest rank, Answering Lady, and lodged in the remote Suiyu Pavilion, where her allowances are shorted and hidden attacks lurk all around. Her elder sister bullies her with impunity, Consort Li plots viciously against her, and the Empress Dowager’s spies keep her under surveillance. Every faction sees her as a disposable pawn.
No one knows that this seemingly meek illegitimate daughter possesses unparalleled knowledge of medicine and poison, and has a mind full of political strategy!
She endures humiliation and bides her time, saving loyal friends, exposing frame-ups, and winning the Emperor’s favor as she rises step by step from a lowly Answering Lady;
Then she strikes back without mercy, confronting her elder sister, executing a treacherous consort, purging the maternal relatives, and quelling a palace coup, turning the foul tides of the inner palace upside down.
Emperor Xiao Che goes from using her and testing her to giving her the whole realm and making her his sole beloved: “You alone are my empress.”
Watch as she takes up the phoenix seal, sets the court in order, and rules the nine realms as the phoenix, becoming the mother of all under heaven and creating a glorious legend of an emperor and empress united in heart!
The works are very rich, wonderful and beautiful
